About Me

I’m Oliver Ridgewell, and hiking is my life. For over 15 years, I’ve trekked some of the toughest and most beautiful trails in the world. I’ve pushed myself on Patagonia’s wild peaks. I’ve learned survival in the quiet forests of the Pacific Northwest. In both, I’ve found peace in nature.

I grew up in a mountain town, where my love for the outdoors began. Hiking wasn’t a hobby; it became a part of who I am. I fell in love with the silence, the challenge of a hard climb, and the reward of reaching the summit.

As I hiked more, I started sharing what I knew. I help hikers choose the right gear, plan safe routes, and tackle long hikes. My goal is simple: to make hiking open to everyone. There’s a freedom in hiking that everyone should experience.

I run workshops, lead guided hikes, and offer advice to hikers of all levels. I’m passionate about helping others find the same joy on the trail that I have. Hiking isn’t about the body; it’s about building strength and discovering who you are.

When I’m not on the trail, I’m testing new gear, telling stories from the wild, and promoting sustainable hiking. we need to protect the places we hike, as much as we enjoy them.

If you’re ready to start hiking or improve your skills, I’m here to guide you. Let’s hit the trail.
